Lecky School of Dancing Edmonton Tap Jazz Ballet Dance Classes 50 Yrs

Lecky School of Dancing has provided dance classes in Edmonton for over 50 years. We have five spacious studios which are fully equipped with air conditioning, special floors, full length mirrors, ballet bars and sound equipment.
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Adult and Private Dancing Lessons are offered. Our students range in age from 3 to 83. Our highly qualified teachers are dedicated to building self esteem and confidence in all students, and to instill in them a 'Love of Dance'. We want everyone to know and feel that we care about them.
We have an annual recital held at the Citadel Theatre on the Shoctor Stage. Throughout the year we have exams, festival and performances around Edmonton and throughout Alberta for those who wish to take part.

Pre Preschool
For children 3 years old. Pre Pre School consists of co-ordination skills, creative movement and songs to inspire and develop an enthusiastic introduction to dancing and the joy of movement.

Cecchetti Ballet Exam Class

This safe introduction to Pointe work concentrates on strength, posture and correct dancing technique. Pointe shoes are not required at the start of the term. Students must be registered in two Ballet classes /wk, have achieved a minimum level of Grade 4 Cecchetti, and have approval of their Ballet teachers.

Stretch and Technique
We encourage our students to improve their dancing technique through special exercises developed to increase flexibility and improve stability and strength. This is especially important for students who wish to enter Competition Classes. This class will not be involved in a Festival or Recital therefore no costume will be required.

Musical Theatre
For students 7 years old and up. This class will begin in December and run to the end of May. It will offer singing classes, acting lessons, dancing technique and a routine for the Festival and Recital. Students must be enrolled in one Ballet and one Jazz class /wk,. A Sign up sheet for this class will be posted in the fall.

Registration Fee:
$31.50 (GST Included) per student or $42.00( GST Included) per family. Please enclose this fee with your registration card. Registration fees are non refundable.
Tuition Fees:
Tuition Fees are assessed on a yearly basis. The payment system is for customer convenience and bears no relationship to the number of classes in any given month.
We accept 4 methods of payment:
1. Post Dated Cheques Sept through June
2. Yearly Fee in advance
3. Yearly Fee broken into 2 payments in advance. (Sep - Jan, Feb - Jun)
4. Yearly Fee broken into 3 payments (Sep - Dec, Jan - Mar, Apr - Jun)
Note: Master Card and Visa honored on methods 2 - 4.
