Emma   Brown

Emma's love of dance began at the age of 3 and now 15 years later, her passion for dance continues to grow.  She has trained extensively in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet, Cecchetti, pointe, lyrical, musical theatre and acrobatics arts. She also has experience in African jazz, Caribbean and Bollywood dance.  Emma has successfully competed in competitions in Edmonton and throughout Alberta and has received many awards. She has been recognized by her teachers for her dedication, commitment and quality of dance, by receiving the Lecky School of Dance, Student of the Year Award as well as numerous Joy to Teach and Outstanding Student awards.

Having tremendous success throughout her high school IB dance program, Emma was the first ever recipient of the Jasper Place High School Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award and was named MVP on the Jasper Place Pom Team.

 Emma has been a class assistant at the Lecky School of Dance for over four years and is excited to be teaching this year. Emma has recently been certified as an Acrobatic Arts Teacher for Acrobatic Dance levels Primary to Level 6.

Emma is currently in her first year at the University of Alberta working towards her Bachelor of Arts degree.

Emma is delighted to be teaching at the Lecky School of Dance and sharing her love of dance with her students.
